Yard Clean-Up

  • What is this service?
Yard Clean-ups can prepare your lawn for the dormant months, or offer a clean start to the spring season.
At ACA, we know that your time is valuable.  A proper yard cleanup will save you time and energy and keep your yard looking the absolute best.  
  • What is actually being done during my service? 

     A Standard Clean-up includes shrub trim, perennial/ornamental grass cutback, leaf/debris cleanup and disposal, a finishing mow, trim, and edge. Our service can be customized to your needs to ensure that your yard is looking its best.

  • As a customer, why should I want this service completed? 

    End-of-season services are often overlooked but are just as important as spring startup services! Leaves & debris left on the lawn or in planting beds can smother grass and plants, promote disease, and attract pests. The purpose of a yard cleanup is to remove debris to ensure that your lawn remains healthy throughout the dormant season and comes back strong in the spring.


 

Optimal Timing 

  • When is the best time of year to have this service completed? 

    The best time to perform a yard clean-up service is during the fall or the spring.  We want to prepare the landscape for the seasonal changes.  Yard cleanups can be performed at any time as long as the ice and snow have completely melted, and there is availability in our online scheduler. 


 

Service Delivery 

  • Who performs this service? 
    Our yard clean-up service is performed by our clean-up crew. This team consists of trained experts who have the knowledge, materials, and tools to perform only yard clean-up services.  This crew cannot perform seasonal services,  repairs or installations during an activation appointment.  

  • Can this crew perform additional services during my appointment?
    To ensure that all clients are serviced with enough time to properly complete their appointment, our routes follow a strict schedule with appropriate time restraints. 

    We recommend reaching out to our office if you need to add additional services to your appointment. In addition, this crew will not have aerators, fertilization, installation, mowing, overseed, power rakes, or irrigation repair equipment with them for their appointments.


  • How will I know when my crew is going to arrive?
    Upon scheduling an appointment with A Cut Above Landscape, you will receive a confirmation email with your appointment details. On the day of the appointment, you will receive an “our technicians are on their way”  text notification 30 minutes prior. 

    The text message will be sent to the phone number our client provides during scheduling.  We recommend confirming that you have selected a mobile number to receive this important message.

    Please expect your service team to arrive between 7am-5pm.  




    Service Delivery
  • How can I prepare for my appointment?
    The crew will meet with customers to discuss the specifics of the cleanup and the areas they should focus on. If the crew feels there isn't enough time allotted to get everything complete, they will inform the customer that more time may be needed, or we will need to adjust and prioritize time in specific areas.

    If you are unable to be home, please leave detailed notes on your appointment. 
  • Do I need to be home?
    We do not require someone to be home for this service, however, if you choose to be, our team will walk through your property with you before and after the job to ensure all your needs are met.
  • What will I see at the conclusion of the appointment?
    If you are able to be home for the appointment, our crew will walk you through the property to check that all areas were addressed.  If additional time is needed they will reach out on site, and our office can schedule an additional appointment.  We expect that your property will show improvement to the areas requested, by the conclusion of your service.

 

 

Timeline/Frequency

  • How long will the service take? 
    The amount of time reserved for a clean-up service will depend on the amount of time requested.  All man-hours for the service will be agreed upon prior to the start of the appointment.  Our crews will work efficiently to complete as many tasks as possible within the allotted time. 

    If they feel the amount of time is not adequate, they will reach out to the customer to ask if they should reprioritize the tasks or have the office schedule an additional appointment.  Our routes will not permit a crew to stay beyond their reserved time.  

  • How frequently should I have this service performed? Is this a recurring service? 
     We recommend scheduling a clean-up at least once a year, but we are happy to help with your debris removal as often as needed, as long as our calendar allows. 

 

 

Payment Info

  • How does the billing/pricing work for this service?
    • This service requires a valid credit card on file to reserve an appointment, and a deposit must be paid.  Customers may choose to prepay at the time of scheduling.  If a client decides not to prepay, their card will be automatically charged upon completing the job. Both options are available via our online scheduler.
    • Services are billed per man-hour and will be subject to a disposal fee.

    • All Yard Cleanup services automatically add a minimum $50 disposal fee for up to 1/2 truckload. Disposal Service is $50 per additional 1/2 truckload. Any cleanup for 6 Man-Hours or more will automatically be charged a minimum of $100 for disposal. Additional fees may apply for excessive debris removal. You will be informed prior to proceeding if this is the case.
    • You have the option to set a monetary or time limit to ensure the job stays within your budget. A 50% deposit due at scheduling is required to reserve the appointment. Customers will only be billed for actual time on site, even if they reserved more time than needed. 


 

Cancellation Info

  • Can I cancel at any time? Is there a penalty for canceling? How do I cancel/modify my service? 
    For cancellations or changes to an appointment, we advise our customers to notify us at least 48 hours prior to the appointment date. This notification is imperative to make the necessary arrangements with our operations crew. The refund will be processed within 3-5 business days for prepaid services.  

    There is no cancellation fee if the client cancels through their confirmation email or through our office 24 hours before their appointment. Our customers have the option to make any modifications or cancellations online; this can be done via the confirmation email sent out after the appointment has been scheduled.
